Today is #WorldRefugeeDay — a moment to stand in solidarity and renew hope for the children of Syria.
Let’s listen to their voices, amplify their stories, and work together to create a future where they can thrive. ✨ Let’s be the change. #WithRefugees#HopeForSyria
Today is #WorldRefugeeDay.
I am spending it in Syria with some of the 600,000 people who have returned from neighbouring countries after 14 years of conflict.
Syria today is where returning Syrians — given security, opportunities and support — can finally stop being refugees.
Meet our Embracing Hope team.
Their mission is to empower faith leaders to conduct #protection sessions for #children and #caregivers in Zarqa and Amman, Jordan.
Their work is truly cherished!

Amidst rising food insecurity rates in #Syria, @WorldVisionSR and @WorldFoodProgramme distributed vital food boxes over the span of two days to internally displaced Syrians.

So glad I could join the graduation of the junior kindergarten group at Azraq camp north of Amman. World Vision supports education, livelihood and other activities in the camp which hosts 40,000 people, many of them children
#worldrefugeday should be our concern everyday as millions of people remain displaced, often in desperate situations. WV is at the forefront of the refugee and internally displaced crisis in Syria and beyond, providing critical support and calling for more global attention
Met with WV colleagues from around the world to review key global trends and how to enhance the effective delivery of humanitarian and recovery assistance. Our world is more complex and challenging and requires new ways of doing our work.
The funding pledge at the #Syriaconf2024 falls short of the growing humanitarian needs of Syrians.
"Sustained, flexible funding is critical to maintain lifesaving programs and enable long-term recovery."

We are here to ring the alarm bells of the 13-year-long Syrian conflict.
For the past 13 years, children in Syria have been the most affected by the conflict. Many of them are separated, living with an unhealthy amount of stress or even lost loved ones.
As they make their way to school, they pass by constant reminders of a conflict that has taken place for the last 13 years. They don’t get to forget; everything is a reminder.

Thankful for Austrian Development Agency funding enabling us to build hundreds of improved household latrines at Azraq refugee camp in northern Jordan. And this project has created jobs for men and women
On #internationalwomensday2024, we renew our commitment to #empowerwomen & girls in the #MiddleEast & #EasternEurope regions. Our Regional Leader @EleanorMonbiot visited the Middle East this past month & met with many women & girls in need of support. “Today, I challenge you to go out & do ONE thing to spread the empowerment that you have... to pass it on & give another woman the opportunity to change her life," she said.
