When I complete my term as Continuum editor-in-chief in 2027, I’ll be thrilled to leave it in excellent hands with Dr. Gordon Smith.
Gordon has been on our leadership team for years, and has a deep appreciation for the heart and soul of this wonderful journal. Congrats to Gordon!

Our first Editor’s Choice article from the latest Continuum is on stroke prevention. It is open access
Obviously an important topic. After all, a stroke prevented is better than a stroke treated. But this article is also just a really good read. Hope you enjoy! (link in replies)
Lots of updates in here on stroke prevention:
🧠 What’s the latest with GLP-1 agonists?
🧠 How does CREST-2 change our approach to asymptomatic athero?
🧠 Latest on prolonged monitoring for Afib?
🧠 How else does stroke prevention promote brain health?
Congratulations to the incredible Class of 2026 Neurology Fellows on graduation! 🎓
“The glory of medicine is that it is constantly moving forward, that there is always more to learn.” - Dr. William J Mayo
Wishing you success as you carry medicine forward ! #mayoneurofellows
Just learned that my friend and colleague, Dr. Chris Boes, has received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the American Osler Society.
I’m always happy to see neurologists win awards (I am neurology’s #1 fan) but this is especially well deserved. Chris has held almost every role in the organization. He is a past president. He embodies respect for the history and humanity of medicine. Congrats Chris!!
#ScholarlySunday Congratulations to Dr. Weston Wright (Epilepsy Fellow) for the poster “Pembrolizumab induced multifocal musicogenic autoimmune associated epilepsy due to GAD65 autoantibodies in a patient treated for triple negative breast cancer” #AAN2026#mayoneurofellowships

It was such an honor to speak among these giants in the field of neuromuscular medicine. The @PennNeurology Neuromuscular Symposium was outstanding, and I look forward to returning. Thankful to my good friend Chafic Karam for the invitation. 🥰
Today is a special day - the day I persuade you to apply for GANGLIA, a new neurology-education game-development workshop, by "accidentally" leaking the games @zach_london and I are planning for this year
