First assignment completed on #Neurodiversity and #autismculture Key learning point - as a society we need to listen and involve Autistic and Asperger individuals far more in all aspects of society. Their voices are the biggest evidence base for clinical practice!

@sazalder @alexisemma31 @sencochat A bit late to the party, but our nursery/ receptions use The WellComm tool. It’s brilliant for identifying a baseline and has amazing resources for classroom and for parents too. Really fills that’s gap in early years screening.

Great first lecture tonight, looking at perspectives and discourses of #Autism. Really made me think about the language I use. Interesting ideas around ‘us’ and ‘them’ and moving to a more understanding version of ‘we’. #MySLTDay
