One of the most loving things you can do for yourself is to give yourself the credit you rightfully deserve. You’ve been given so many reasons to give up and to lose hope. To choose apathy over empathy. To harden yourself in a cold world. Yet here you are, still striving to Love yourself and others more fully. I hope you can grasp how extraordinary that is.
It's the small habits. How you spend your mornings, how you talk to yourself, what you read, who you follow, what you watch, who you share your energy with, who has access to you that will change your life.
"Maybe the happy ending is that you fall in love with your life—eat your favorite foods, admire sunrises and sunsets, pick up the book you've been trying to finish, dance to your favorite songs, buy yourself flowers. bring your mind back to how blessed you are.” ~Unknown
The Government of Saint Lucia has announced some of the national celebrations to honour double Olympic medalist, Olympic and World Champion Julien Alfred.
Not enough adults are understanding that they have to create moments of happiness in their lives. Find things to be excited about. Create plans to look forward to. Decorate the house during holidays. Make a playlist you only listen to on Tuesdays. Keep your favorite snacks stocked in case of a bad day. You have more control over your joy than you think.
In Saint Lucia, Kwéyòl is more than just a language. Kwéyòl forms part of our history and heritage and is the language of Saint Lucian consciousness.
After decades of advocacy, students will receive Kwéyòl instructions in school for the first time ever!
