It would be awesome if @YouTube would let creators add an HDR and an SDR file to a single upload. I feel like popular users who shoot on @RED_Cinema like @MKBHD would be more incentivized to upload in HDR.
Currently if you upload an HDR file, it takes much longer to process and if someone without an HDR compatible device watches it, the compressed 4K version looks lower quality than it would have if you just used a high bitrate SDR file.
Most channels don’t want to clog their feed with a separate upload of the same file for every video. Creating a separate channel just for your HDR uploads isn’t a great solution either.
Those of us that are fortunate enough to have a fully compatible setup would choose the HDR version 100% of the time. I would love to see a notification from a channel I follow that separately tells me when the SDR and HDR options are ready.
Considering that most YouTube users watch video in SDR, it makes sense that no one with a big channel would chose the option that takes significantly longer and looks worse to the majority of their subscribers.
It should work like @netflix, which just plays the right version based on the device it is connected to, without the user doing anything.
I recreated my iPhone 13 Professional Maximum in #Blender. All assets are from @Blender_Kit. I would also like to point out how amazing it is that I can render something like this on a MacBook Pro.

This @kevinrose show with @cdixon was great. I find myself on my heels too often when discussing the merits of #web3, mainly because most #blockchain content is about the "casino" aspect of the industry. They focus on the true potential of blockchain tech.
