Today, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said the administration will rely on an obscure clause of the Immigration and Nationality Act to deport Mahmoud Khalil.

The clause allows the Secretary of State to deport someone if their presence in the country is “adversarial to the foreign policy and national security interests” of the United States.

This broad authority is ripe for abuse. Today, the administration is targeting pro-Palestinian speakers. Tomorrow, it could be IDF soldiers.

And even if the statute appears to give the government authority to deport people for their speech, that doesn’t mean it's constitutional.

Zooming out, let's not forget it was just a few weeks ago that J.D. Vance spoke at the Munich Security Conference, where he chastised European leaders for their censorship. He argued speech restrictions are the biggest European security threat — he called them the “threat from within.”

But what right does America have to travel abroad and lecture other countries about free speech if we're censoring at home?

Our country was founded on "certain unalienable rights." I happen to think free speech is one of them.

To the extent someone is in our country — subject to our laws and jurisdiction — the government is duty bound to respect that unalienable right.

Elon Musk wants his Empire on Mars. The reason he wants to shut down USAid is that he wants tax payer money to fund and build his empire there. I know that sounds insane, and it is. The one thing Elon pressed upon me when I first met him was that he was going to go to Mars and set up a civilization there. He stopped being a humanitarian and “good guy” when he realized there was no way to get there without cleaning out government coffers, and there was no way to do that without stopping humanitarian aid here in the USA and abroad. Keep your eye on the ball. When Elon slashes costs, it’s for his own pocket and no one else’s. It’s stealing, is what it is. He sees those trillions as his. Not ours. He thinks he is “saving humanity” by going to Mars. He is clearly ending humanity and humanitarian aid to get there. We are Elon’s stepping stone. Be aware. He is already rich off government contracts. Now he is gaming the system. Trump has become his lapdog. Watch all the things Trump gives Elon now. Elon has seized him.
