NEW! Indian Authorities Demolish 50-Year-Old Mosque

The Indian authorities demolished a mosque in the city of Faridabad, Haryana, sparking widespread outrage among the local Muslim community.

The 50-year-old historic Aqsa Mosque was demolished as part of the "campaign against illegal constructions".

The demolition took place on Monday, April 15. Situated in Badkhal village, the question of the mosque’s alleged encroachment was pending in the Supreme Court.

🔴 BREAKING! At least 40 Uyghur Muslims have been secretly deported to #China, the Thai authorities have confirmed, despite warnings from human rights groups that they face possible torture and even death.

The group is thought to have been flown back to Xinjiang on Thursday, after being held for 10 years in a Bangkok detention centre.

In a statement on Thursday, Human Rights Watch said the group now face a high risk of torture, enforced disappearance and long-term imprisonment.
