How will you continue your day after hearing that a father in Gaza, trapped beneath the rubble, begged rescuers not to save him?

Not because he had lost hope in life, but because he could hear his daughters’ final breaths beneath the debris. Their tiny hands were holding his in the darkness, as if pleading with him one last time. He was the father who had always been their safe refuge, yet this time he was powerless to pull them from the dust and shattered concrete.

Only his head was visible above the wreckage. He looked into the eyes of the rescuers, his own eyes exhausted by fear and helplessness, and said:
“Leave me… my daughters are here… I do not want to come out alone.”

What heart can bear such a scene? What language can describe the agony of a father who realizes he is losing his daughters one by one, while still holding their hands until they grow cold, unable to offer rescue or even one final embrace?

🚨 Masjid al-Aqsa Under Serious Threat This Friday

A planned settler incursion into Masjid al-Aqsa on Friday 15 May 2026 is now being treated as a very real and imminent threat, after 22 senior Zionist politicians, including the Israeli Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of War, signed a petition demanding that Masjid al-Aqsa be opened for settler incursions on Friday.

Israeli Temple organisations published a new version of the petition yesterday, Monday 11 May 2026, addressed to Israeli Police Commissioner Dani Levy and Jerusalem District Police Commander Avshalom Peled, demanding that settlers be allowed to enter Masjid al-Aqsa on Friday 15 May 2026, marking the Hebrew anniversary of the occupation of Jerusalem.

The petition was signed by 22 Zionist politicians, 19 of whom belong to Netanyahu’s ruling Likud party, representing approximately 60% of the party’s Knesset bloc, alongside three members from the Religious Zionism party. Among the signatories are nine ministers, including Deputy Prime Minister and Justice Minister Yariv Levin, Minister of War Israel Katz, as well as ministers responsible for media, health, energy, youth and sport, and others.

The petition repeats the same demands made in an earlier petition signed by 13 politicians and published by Temple organisations on 3 May 2026: that Masjid al-Aqsa be opened on Friday for settler incursions “in a manner expressing Israeli sovereignty over Jerusalem”. It also proposes an alternative demand that, if Friday access is not approved, Masjid al-Aqsa should instead be opened for an exceptional additional incursion period on the evening of Thursday 14 May 2026.

With the involvement of increasingly senior political figures, and the Likud party now placing its full political weight behind this petition, it has become clear that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu wants to demonstrate that the decision regarding incursions into Masjid al-Aqsa ultimately lies with him, rather than allowing National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir alone to dominate the political spectacle surrounding the ongoing Judaization measures being imposed upon Masjid al-Aqsa.

This escalation also recalls the events surrounding the Eid al-Adha incursions of 11 August 2019, when Netanyahu himself played a direct role in facilitating the incursion through political deception. His silence today regarding the proposed Friday incursion strongly indicates that preparations are once again underway to create the conditions necessary for imposing it.

In light of these developments, the proposed Friday incursion on 15 May must now be treated as a genuine and active danger. It is becoming increasingly apparent that the occupation authorities are moving towards allowing settler incursions into Masjid al-Aqsa on a Friday for the first time since its occupation in 1967.

This is not merely a political issue or a distant news story. Masjid al-Aqsa is a sacred trust connected to our faith and our identity. The normalisation of incursions, especially on a Friday, represents a dangerous escalation aimed at changing the reality of Masjid al-Aqsa step by step until the unacceptable becomes accepted.

Silence and inaction in the face of such injustice is what allows these realities to become established.

⚠️ From Forced Closure to Talmudic Sacrifice | What Lies Ahead for Masjid Al-Aqsa

This Ramadan has witnessed the llongest closure of Masjid Al-Aqsa in over eight centuries, since its liberation from the Crusaders. During this period, the occupation imposed unprecedented measures it had never previously succeeded in enforcing:

• Jumu‘ah prayers were prevented for the first time in Ramadan  

• The final Jumu‘ah (Al-Jumu‘ah Al-‘Azimah) was also blocked  

• Tarawih, Tahajjud, and I‘tikaf were entirely prevented throughout the last ten nights  

• Eid al-Fitr prayers were prevented for the first time  

It is no longer hidden that this closure is not administrative, but an act of war, carefully planned and executed. Its objectives are clear:

• To impose full control over Masjid Al-Aqsa  

• To test the ability to isolate it during the most sacred and crowded time of the year  

• To prepare the ground for something far more serious after Ramadan

When we look at the steady pattern over the past three decades, it becomes clear:  

Masjid Al-Aqsa is no longer facing gradual pressure… it is being pushed towards decisive outcomes.

What are the immediate dangers after Eid?

1. The Threat of Talmudic Sacrifice

The aim is to bring a lamb into Masjid Al-Aqsa and slaughter it within its grounds.

This is not a general act of sacrifice. It represents, in their belief, a Talmudic ritual, treating Masjid Al-Aqsa as if it has already become their claimed temple, even while its structures remain Islamic.

This act would serve as:

• A religious foundation for the so-called temple  

• A step towards physically establishing it in place of Masjid Al-Aqsa

In their belief, such sacrifices are offered where they claim the presence of God resides. Bringing this ritual into Masjid Al-Aqsa is therefore a deliberate attempt to redefine its identity through religious practice.

Politically, this goes even further.

Extremist groups believe such acts can trigger divine intervention, hastening the arrival of a “messiah” and the establishment of their temple. They view sacrifice as a cause for divine action in history.

This is why figures such as Ben-Gvir, Smotrich and others cannot be understood purely politically. Their actions are tied to religious motivations aimed at forcing a turning point in history.

The more intense the current war becomes, the stronger this push is likely to be.

The critical window for this is the upcoming Jewish Passover from 2nd to 9th April 2026, just days after Eid.

2. The “Reopening” That Changes Everything

Past experience shows a clear pattern:

Every time the occupation controls how and when Masjid Al-Aqsa reopens, it uses that moment to impose new realities.

• 2020: Introduction of the idea of “equal access” between Muslims and settlers  

• 2025: Turning parts of Masjid Al-Aqsa into spaces for celebration, singing and public gatherings for settlers  

Now, further escalations are expected:

• Transferring administrative authority towards Temple groups, sidelining the Islamic Waqf  

• Expanding settler incursion times, potentially reaching nine hours daily (from the current six hours)

• Attempting to seize more space, particularly the eastern areas including Musalla Bab al-Rahmah  

These are part of a broader direction:

To gradually transform Masjid Al-Aqsa from a purely Islamic sacred space into a shared or dominated space.

Where are we now?

We are no longer in a phase of slow change.

We are witnessing an attempt to force the final outcomes, using the cover of war and global distraction to accelerate what could not previously be achieved.

The real danger is not just what is happening, but that Masjid Al-Aqsa becomes normalised as a secondary issue once again in the minds and lives of Muslims, and that is where the true loss begins!
