In 1984, 11 Dunnes Stores workers refused to handle goods from apartheid South Africa & went on strike.

They spent 3 years on the picket, just £21 per week. But in the end they forced the Irish government to boycott apartheid.

Irish people led the way in helping end apartheid.

I’ve said it before and I’ll keep on saying it - Peter Mandelson is the worst thing that’s ever happened to the @UKLabour Party. John Smith didn’t want anything to do with him but his untimely death allowed Mandelson and Blair to rebrand the party as New Labour.

Mandelson has prostituted himself at the courts of big money billionaires, whether it be on the yacht of Oleg Deripaska (when Russian oligarchs were in vogue) or in the homes of Jeffrey Epstein.

Money - “filthy rich” money - is his god and membership of secret transatlantic elites. He has said, “We’re all Thatcherites now,” and many Labour MPs since have subscribed to that mantra.

Mandelson famously boasted how he worked every single day to end Jeremy Corbyn’s leadership. He couldn’t have cared less about the hopes of millions of Labour voters across the country. I don’t believe he ever has.

He is not fit to be a British ambassador, not fit for any role in a Labour Party that holds integrity to be important in a modern party moving forwards.
