Try these 6 fixes:

• Reduce Transparency
Settings → Accessibility → Display & Text Size → Reduce Transparency.
Less visual work for the GPU.

• Turn off Apple Intelligence
Settings → Apple Intelligence & Siri → Turn Off.
Especially worth trying if your phone feels warm or slow after an update.

• Reduce Motion
Settings → Accessibility → Motion → Reduce Motion.
Cuts down on unnecessary animations and can make the phone feel snappier.

• Use a Still Wallpaper
Settings → Wallpaper → choose your wallpaper → Still.
Less animation and visual processing.

• Turn off Journaling Suggestions
Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → System Services → Journaling Suggestions → Off.

• Give iOS time to settle
After a major update, your iPhone may spend some time indexing files and apps. Leave it charging overnight, connected to Wi-Fi, with the screen off.
