Roadmap to a remote web3 job (realistic)
start with foundations.
> git and github
> js and ts
> http, apis, auth
> basic system design
> pick one backend properly (node / rust / go recommended)
> frontend at least react
if this part is weak, web3 won’t save you.
then learn web3 basics.
> cryptography fundamentals
> private/public keys, signatures, hashing, ciphers
> wallets and key management
> transaction lifecycle (sign -> send-> confirm-> finality)
> rpc, providers, rate limits
> indexing and why raw rpc is not enough
read official docs and not twitter threads.
once basics are done, pick a chain.
> EVM or AltVM's like solana / move / sui
> ideally try both once to understand tradeoffs
> tooling, sdks, explorers, debuggers
chains change, fundamentals don’t.
now build real things.
> indexers, explorers, bots, dashboards, infra tools, sdks
> solve actual dev problems
> avoid tutorial clones
> ship, break, fix, repeat
github > resumes in web3.
> public repos
> clean commits
> real projects
> you don’t need huge open source contributions
> you need proof you can build
build in public.
> share what you’re building
> post learnings
> consistency > virality
> people should know what you’re good at without asking
about jobs, most web3 roles are remote.
but hiring is not portal-first.
yes, apply on job boards.
but most offers come from:
> cold dms
> founders, CTO's, hiring managers
> dev discords
> web3 career portals
> referrals from people who’ve seen your work
@Namecheap I paid for a domain name on Namecheap, but with all these restrictions that prevent me from navigating your interface, my account has been suspended on suspicion of fraud. Many people in my situation have left for your competitors. Please review your policies. Peace.
Just made some major changes to my Bento and I have to say, I’m feeling pretty awesome about it. I’m sure everyone else is gonna be super jealous because I’m taking my link-in-bio game to the next level.

We raised $60M for this moment: Introducing Slash Global USD (in partnership w/ @base).
It's the first banking platform that lets you open a USD account without an LLC, EIN, or the rampant account closures they call "account safety".
It took major legislative changes AND 3 years to pull this off.
Here's what makes it so different:
1. Banking without an LLC. Before Slash: You needed a LLC, $1K in fees, a virtual address, and a U.S. tax ID. With Slash you get a real U.S. account & routing number in ~10 minutes with your foreign documents.
2. No more hefty fees. PayPal charges a 3-4% conversion fee. We let you receive USD and crypto (USDC) with NO fees. Not enough? We pay you up to 4.5% cash rewards just for holding your money with us.
3. Account freezes. The big guys love flagging success as “fraud”. We're built for fast moving founders. We'll never wrongfully freeze your funds. I'm putting my money where my mouth is: If we do, I'll wire $10K to a charity of your choice.
------------------------------
In 2021, I dropped out of the number 1 school in America as a Venezuelan immigrant to build Slash. I pivoted the business 2x before getting our first customer.
Today:
- 3,000 businesses use @slashapp
- We bought the domain Slash . com for $1M
- $4B is spent on our credit cards every year
And we just raised $41M from the people who built fintech: @MenloVentures@NEA@ycombinator@goodwatercap
--------------------------------
To celebrate this launch, we're giving away our internal AI finance Agent free.
It watches your bank accounts 24/7. Flags double charges. Cancels forgotten subscriptions.
It saved us $39,000 last month.
You don’t need a Slash account. It works with any bank.
Retweet + comment “Slash” and I’ll send you a free access link.
I'm building a tool to create your own sales page in 2 minutes.
Perfect for ebooks, courses, or physical products.
No coding needed.

Africa is missing the digital revolution.
But fintechs can change the game.
Here’s how local startups are making impact:
✅ Mobile money & QR payments
✅ Easy bank accounts via smartphones
✅ Onboarding informal businesses (KYC-compliant)
💭 Can fintechs help Africa catch up?
The creation of web applications has become the most common thing in the world. But most people don't know that software is the binder of all tech applications. 💻🖥️⌨️🖨️
