🌍 June 17 marked the World Day to Combat Desertification and Drought.

❗️ Hezbollah launched mortar shells that hit a UNIFIL position and killed a UN personnel member in southern Lebanon

Overnight, Hezbollah launched several mortar shells that landed inside a UNIFIL force position in the Dibbine area in southern Lebanon—killing a UN personnel member and injuring two others.

An examination of the launch trajectory clearly indicates that the fire was carried out by the Hezbollah terrorist organization.

Yesterday, Mr. Hanan Goder, Chargé d'Affaires of the Embassy of Israel in Yangon, met with the Senior Executive Committee Members of People’s Health Foundation (PHF) to discuss more about their impactful public health initiatives, especially the “Let’s Quit Betel Quid (Smokeless Tobacco)” Campaign.

Both sides also exchanged views on potential areas of cooperation and collaboration, particularly in supporting to promote healthier society through non-smoking awareness and advocacy programs across Myanmar .

It was a meaningful and inspiring discussion, recognizing the important work being carried out by PHF in creating positive change for communities. 💙
