Ayub took Washington’s money. Yahya lost half the country and kept his pension. Zia laundered jihad for Reagan’s dollars. Musharraf sold “war on terror” access wholesale. Bajwa brokered everyone’s peace but Pakistan’s. Now Munir — crowned Field Marshal, shielded by his own 27th Amendment immunity — plays Trump’s “favorite” strongman while PM Shehbaz Sharif calls him the “Savior of South Asia” for a tariff deal.

Eighty years, one business model: sovereignty rented out in installments for weapons and impunity. Never unity. Never self-reliance. Never an economy that isn’t a hostage.

Meanwhile the one man who refused to be anyone’s client — Imran Khan — sits in solitary in Adiala, 22+ hours a day, denied medical care, denied his sisters, denied his lawyers.

The UN Working Group on Arbitrary Detention already ruled it: no legal basis, politically motivated, must end immediately.

Munir and Sharif tour capitals as “partners.” Khan rots in a cell for refusing to be bought.

That’s not stability. That’s a client state protecting its client management from the one man it can’t purchase.
