In life you must be a warrior, and war requires realism. While others may find beauty in endless dreams, warriors find it in reality, in awareness of limits, in making the most of what they have.

It is what we prioritise; the things we deprioritise.

It is the adoption of short-term thinking; sacrificing long-term success over short-term glory.

It is making the brand the cause; the vision limited to the organisation or the individual.

It is giving people what they want not what they need.

It is the false understanding of impact; focussing on the quantitative at the expense of the qualitative.

It is the reliance on man-made strategies over the reliance on Allah.

It is the adoption of the "sunnah" of Gates and Musk over the sunnah of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.

It is internalising corporate leadership psychology over the love-service-leadership of our beloved ﷺ.

It is portraying wisdom as weakness, cowardice as critical thinking.

What bothers me the most is that there are so many individuals and organisations that do not see what they have done (or not done) and what is coming.

Imagine being satisfied with putting out the fire that was spreading in your basement, only to look up to see that your whole house has burned down.

There is hope. It not too late. And with Allah we place our trust.

I intend to explain my observations in writing soon, in-shā-a-Allāh.
