When young people put themselves forward to serve this country; whether as nurses, teachers, police assistants, fire assistants, national service personnel, etc. their payment should not be treated as if we are doing them a favour.

How will they survive if they are owed many months of arrears? This does not engender positive youth development and goes a long way in lowering the morale and commitment of young people.

In May, 18 religious actors and peacebuilders from Kenya 🇰🇪, Nigeria 🇳🇬, and Mali 🇲🇱 gathered in Nairobi, Kenya for a regional training on Islam and Freedom of Religion and Belief (FoRB) for a week-long workshop to deepen understanding of Islamic theology and its role in advancing #FoRB and peaceful coexistence across Africa and globally.
