I did not expect this! I am so grateful for the @global_nmr committee for giving me this honour, and of course, I am grateful for my supervisor @GoldbourtNMRlab. Thank you!
Please RT! We are thrilled to announce the winners of @global_nmr Online Conference 2024 #GlobalnmrOC2024
These awards recognise outstanding science by students and postdoc researchers ๐ Congratulations all!
We want to thank all the participants, our sponsors and the judges.
@SMariasina@global_nmr Thank you very much for your feedback!
For the gaps - we had 14 residues without a backbone order parameter mainly due to spectral overlaps (we avoided ambiguity greater than 2). They are possible to detect, though - either more dimensions and/or sparsely labelled samples
@adriandraney@GoldbourtNMRlab@chemistrytau Regarding the comparison to CP - we still don't have the full analyical picture of the HR2, so I'm not sure about the exact mechanism of it, but I can tell for sure that the half rotational resonance involves different operators. Hopefully I'll have a better answer soon!
My contribution to the Global NMR Twitter Conference. Please share your thoughts about the work I've done under the supervision of professor Amir Goldbourt, school of chemistry, Tel Aviv University

@adriandraney@GoldbourtNMRlab@chemistrytau For the optimal alpha - it's really a question of need. If one wants selectivity, 180 is the best way to go. If enhancement is desired - 90 is preferred. Experimentally one can use a 1D experiment (like we did in our paper. Please check it out!) and optimise the angle accordingly
@adriandraney@GoldbourtNMRlab@chemistrytau A more generalised form of the resonance condition is indeed possible (like 1/4 as well), and we'll discuss it in more details in a future analytical treatment we've been working on.
@ChirpDontTweet @GoldbourtNMRlab@chemistrytau We are currently working on the analytical treatment. We have found some interesting things, but we still have much more work to be done. Hopefully we'll be able to share the results soon
