@Rrrrnessa Plus, it's a private organization so there is no Sharee'ah here which is a state/gov't thing. It's like this Shah-lover guy is against free speech and against private religious foundations encouraging charity...smh.
Sudan is the worst humanitarian crisis in the world. We’re reporting from the border with Chad - the war is causing famine and driving people to flee. We were here with @AndrewmitchMP announcing new British aid - but only a ceasefire can really help. With @munksoren@Zahra_ZW

Some Thursday thoughts about racism in Ukraine.
Yesterday, I came across an incident on Instagram involving Zhan Beleniuk, a Ukrainian Olympic champion and politician. Someone had written to him in the "ask me" stories feature: "Go away from Europe, monkey. Ukraine is for white Ukrainians."
Initially, one might assume that this was fabricated by a bot to sow division among Ukrainians and simulate racism where it may not exist. However, it's crucial to acknowledge that such attitudes do exist among some Ukrainians.
My reflection revolves around how individuals come to adopt such beliefs. How do they justify and support their racist views, especially when Ukrainian history is marked by oppression and suffering under rus-n rule, including serfdom and exterminations? What factors contribute to this dominant and oppressive behavior?
These questions will occupy my attention in the coming years because I firmly believe that Ukraine possesses immense potential for social cohesion and a more regenerative future.

@IntelDoge Kind of weird how Guandolo is stealthily equating al-Qaeda and Hamas. They're actually worlds apart; AQ is Salafi and Hamas are Brotherhood types. They combat each other all the time.
@cmuratori And the more-or-less standardization one gets from college degrees also means hiring firms' expanded checklist will become much more chaotic and seemingly more arbitrary than now.
@cmuratori But then that transfers the very expensive and error-prone adjudication of several personal characteristics onto the hiring firm, while now they "outsource" it to colleges and universities.
@hamza_elboudali@zofer11@beardytrot Can you quote that law? And if so, why did you say you wished "somebody" would "do it" instead of specifying the Supreme Court, DoJ or The Hague for example? Best wishes for you to dig yourself out of this before Eid, but I fear your ego is only pushing deeper into the hole.
@kiahlart2 @GibsonSis @hamza_elboudali I see: You feel you must establish that Biden is a military official to make his blood halaal. Hmm, the Qu'ran speaks of a tribe who used to split legal hairs to get the result they wanted. By Allah, some of the ummah has become them.
@turac79 @nytimes Both this and the suffering of Ghazans can be wrong at the same time. The Muslim does not accept the harming of any civilian; the Prophet forbade it no matter who or where.
@kiahlart2@hamza_elboudali You're avoiding the answer.
But here ya go: I haven't seen Biden in uniform nor handling a rifle nor planning raids so no. Unlike "back home", the US does not have dictators in generals' uniforms from military coups.
