We are a cooperative vendor-run market with more than 100 members, who grow or make their wares within 30 miles of Ithaca. Visit us at our pavilion- 545 3rd St.
BTI summer undergraduate researchers took science beyond the lab and into the community at the @ithacamarket!
Their interactive booth featured the Foldscope, a portable, affordable microscope, giving over 160 visitors a close-up view of beneficial fungi on plant roots.
Visitors explored the symbiotic relationship between fungi and roots, learned about phosphate cycling, and discovered how current research improves soil health and reduces fertilizer use.
With support from graduate students Lizzie Trost and Lena Cuevas from Maria Harrison’s lab, the booth was a huge success. Guests left with stickers, microscope photos, and a new appreciation for the hidden life beneath our feet.
Wednesday market is from 3-6pm! Quick and easy parking; stop by for an abundance of delicious local foods.
July has so much to offer, each week is different as more crops are ready. This community market is perfect for a mid-week haul.

The lot is open on the weekend and this won't affect our weekend Market.
Thanks for your understanding as we finish up the last leg of the parking lot project!!
We're going to be starting the final phase of our parking lot construction! With the exception of Friday May 16th for the CCE plant sale the customer lot will be closed Monday through Friday.
The only way to get to the Pavilion right now is to park elsewhere and walk over.
The anticipation!! You’ll find a full spread at the market Saturday with something for everyone —a variety of eat-on-site and take-out entrées, baked goods & beverages to delight every taste, fresh produce, free-range eggs, meat & cheese, specialty foods, and fine art & crafts.
Parking visuals and still shots of our lot updates.
Thank you for your patience with us as we navigate this construction project, see you Saturday from 9-3!

Find us down at the waterfront on Saturday April 19th from 9-3!
Though our parking lot improvement project is well underway, we couldn’t stand a further delay. We will have parking, but instead of our normal lot being totally open, it’s a bit to the left of the market entrance.
We apologize for the phases of lot not being 100% on schedule. Supply chain issues and the weather are fierce opponents!!
But it’s coming together more and more each day.
We are so grateful for the extremely close, off site lot that will welcome our guests. See you soon!!
Worth waiting for: Ithaca Farmers Market still at Triphammer while parking area work continues. Spring @IthacaMarket opening at Steamboat Landing will be Saturday, April 19th. https://t.co/JpawzFI1QU
Lots of music and talks and pancake breakfasts in this week’s 14850 Happenings events calendar! And the farmers market is still at Triphammer Marketplace for a couple more weeks.
