I just love how Mark O Connor was ‘allowed’ to be involved with Dingle GAA over the last few months…
A few lessons from it (just my own opinion, nothing more)
- life is not all about the professional badge! There are other, as important (more important!) things
- a happy player is a player who will perform for you
- ‘home’ and where you come from really, really matters (to most people)
- it’s ok to celebrate an have a good time! Honestly
- your teammates matter more to you than your coach or manager
- give a player ownership, autonomy, and responsibility, and everyone benefits
- when you’re finished, and you look back over your sporting career (bit like life in general), it will not only be the successes you remember & reflect back on, there will be other experiences also
- GAA senior inter county set ups (usually managers and S&C coaches) need to chill a bit
- elite sport can be fun also. It didn’t have to be all serious, all the time
- ultimately sport is just sport. It’s not life & death
Paul Geaney appreciation post👏
Before throw-in, he wasn’t even togged for Dingle due to injury🤕
The 35-year-old was then sprung from the bench at half-time and kicked eight points, including a crucial two-pointer in the closing minutes of extra-time🟠

Paul Geaney’s leadership today was a template for every player.
In the swell of the Bars’ surge, he stood up and asked for the ball.
Took his goal with certainty, took his knocks without pause.
Patched up, back on, and never once hid from the moment.
A leader in the truest sense, present, persistent, unshakeable.
BUILD HIM A STATUE!
BUILD HIM A STADIUM!
BUILD HIM A MANSION!

TROYY PARROT SCORED THE 96TH MINUTE GOAL THAT QUALIFIED IRELAND TO THE WORLD CUP PLAY OFFS! 🇮🇪
This morning I had the privilege of presenting €3,250 to Milford Care Centre.
A huge thank you to everyone who so kindly donated — your generosity means everything.
This donation is my way of giving back for the incredible care, compassion, and support that Milford gave my mam, Gretta, and all of our family last June. They were there for us during one of the most difficult times, and I will be forever grateful.
Ireland are the first team from League B to ever win a promotion/relegation play off against a League A side in the women’s game.
Draw for World Cup qualifying is on 4th November 2025 and Ireland will be in League A. ☘️🇮🇪

This is actually the best video of the lot - the Madden players arriving in Loughmacrory and the two teams singing “we are county champions” at each other 😂😂
It was great to showcase all things TY in Coláiste Mhuire, with our current TY students Dean and Marie doing a brilliant job representing the programme. Thanks to everyone who stopped by to learn more about Transition Year — an exciting year of growth, learning, and opportunity!
