they called SOL DeFi undervalued compared to ETH.

let's start with this one:

▫️ 1. franklin templeton (yeah, the $1.5T asset manager)

this asset management firm said recently that a bunch of solana DeFi tokens look undervalued vs ETH DeFi.

2. clear rewards tracking now built in

a new feature just launched in the Marinade app
→ staking rewards tracking & export.

• users can generate a full history report, useful for tax, accounting, or just clean record-keeping
• supported formats: CSV, XLSX, PDF
• report auto-updates after first setup

this closes a gap that’s always annoyed active stakers: visibility

but it’s only available for Marinade Native.

liquid staking folks are left out (for now). why not support both?

▫️3. institutional staking isn’t theory anymore

the team behind Marinade has shifted hard toward institutions in 2025.

they built native staking, brought in tradfi talent, & are now onboarding big players.

• they're the staking partner for Bitwise’s Solana staking ETP (BSOL)
• integrated w/ Zodia Custody & Copper
• hiring from PWC, Fidelity, BNY Mellon

and they’re not stopping there:

• new insurance layer for stakers → launching this year
• full custodian compatibility → aligned w/ regulatory standards
• native staking preferred by institutions → less DeFi risk, more control

so what’s the bet?

if Solana ETFs get SEC approval, Marinade wants to power the staking piece inside them

▫️4. native staking is how they’re scaling

their non-liquid staking product (Marinade Native) is now the core of the play.

liquid staking got them known - native staking is how they scale to billions.

• users stay in full custody of SOL
• validator delegation handled through Stake Auction Marketplace (SAM)
• rewards protected w/ PSR (Protected Staking Rewards) - users are shielded from downtime

but here’s the strategy flip:

• liquid staking = great for DeFi
• native staking = better for institutions

Marinade now runs both, but the real effort is going into native.

At some stage this year many of you will have your first real shot at ‘changing your life’, and others another chance to do so.

All I can say is don’t F it up.

12 months ago I did exactly that stomaching a ~70% drawdown on the 90% I left in the market in March, but thankfully ran it back up to new ATH and exited almost everything in early Jan.

We all came to this space with one thing as a priority, financial gain, regardless of whether you have any interest in the tech, and only a few make it happen.

I feel fortunate to have built a good circle this cycle that I still keep in contact with while waiting for better conditions to return, but never forget when the eventual prolonged ‘winter’ returns you won’t hear from or speak to the vast majority of those you currently speak with daily.

Don’t get caught up in the clout, the larping, the euphoria.

If you get the chance to change your life then take it.
