Hi RE Twitter, new guy here. I’ve been watching on the sidelines for the past few months – and have learned a lot from you – but am ready to jump in. Here’s a thread about me and some of the stuff I’m up to.
Property Managers: how are you getting your listings on Facebook Marketplace? We routinely have between 15-25 units available for rent, and Marketplace not enterprise friendly.
We’ve created user profiles that get banned. Any third parties? Bonus points for Canadian solution.
Last week someone made a fake notice pretending to be one of the property managers from @RedSandsPM threatening to evict anyone who leaves trash outside their door. Posted it all over the building and on people’s doors. Never boring.
@StudentRentPro Covid lockdowns were pretty tight up here. Most universities went remote so students stayed at their parents’ to save money. Now that everything is back in person the groups of 5-6 students looking for housing is trying to make up for lost time.
@mkobach Have a sweet spot for Savannah. Lots of architectural character, good food, great party vibes (open containers allowed) and very walkable. Plus it’s tropical.
Bought this century-old Victorian home and about to list it after some minor renovations. 7 beds, 3 baths and over 3,000 square feet in #PEI, Canada. They don’t make them like this anymore
@MichaelAlbaum Probably over time. The sub-markets just perform better so it's hard to leave, even if there's a bit more work required with the properties
Got a quote for a $22k roof replacement. Seemed high but was in a hurry so nearly signed off.
Got a second quote at $14k for the same job.
Be careful of those who don't want your business.
@GuyDealership I bought my Tesla without a test drive and live 600 miles to the closest Tesla dealer. I cared most about the specs and financing options. The reputation of the brand made me confident enough to go ahead even without the traditional car-buying norms
