@KimJongbeloved@BlueGeorgia We can do better, but we’ve been waiting over a decade for anyone else to propose something better.
The real solution is universal healthcare but they’re too afraid to actually do it.
@harrigan_pete@NY_LBSS@Birdyword You can’t though. Politically people won’t support funding it once they’re cut off. It’s everybody or nobody, ultimately.
@NY_LBSS@Birdyword Means tested programs are unbelievably bloated and expensive to run and almost always turn to complete garbage.
As soon as non-poor people get locked out, they will fight to end their funding of it until it dies entirely even as an anti-poverty program.
@betsykosheff@rivers_kim Just looking at the past decade, the more people learn about the reality of cannabis, the less strong their opposition is to it being legal. It’s possible that could reverse, but I haven’t seen any evidence of that.
@mickeyhardy@bryan_johnson 31 is really frickin slow and I doubt it’s solely because you’re elite-level healthy. There is likely something structural (that may be fine) that is the reason you’re sitting that low.
@FightWithMemes Literally zero people on earth think this is an oppressive choice to make willingly.
It’s oppressive if you are forced into this arrangement to survive in the world because you are locked out of being a full member of society.
