@MooseAllain Son was recently whizzing on the LNER past our closest level crossing. No chance of seeing each other, so I waved at the train. He filmed. He slowed it down. Me. Made our day
@buntyhoven Randomly I want to pop by to say hello and bye. You don’t know me. But I’ve followed you on here for ages. I’m deleting Twitter. But it’s people like you that made me stay as long as I did. Thanks x
My new years treat to me is deleting ‘Twitter’ I joined it for joy and humour. It mostly makes me angry and disappointed. So off I pop. So long and thanks for all the fish
I can’t concentrate on work today because offspring has their viva tomorrow. The culmination of 4 years of resilience and strength and sleep deprivation. Big up to all phd students. You are awesome @ThePhDPlace

Right so, if I depart this site. Where next? For news (real not fake) comedians and arty stuff. I’ve got Threads but I’m not convinced yet. I’m a bit woke and leftie if that helps
@ZJAyres So very agree. Son barely scraped his C at GCSE English. Without it no local school would have taken him for A levels. That scraped C was the ridiculous proof he needed that he was capable of anything academically. He’s just finishing his PhD at Imperial.
