If the goal is to have an open discourse then everyone should be considered innocent unless proven guilty, e.g. unless breaking the group rules.

They added @shieldy_bot recently that bans you if you don't solve a captcha within 1 minute after joining.
Unless it was for that reason i guess you were banned manually, same as @BitcoinErrorLog and others.
