Growing Tshwane: This afternoon, we held an engagement with Tiger Brands - a leading consumer goods manufacturer that’s expanding its investment in Tshwane.

The company is expanding its bakery production in Waltloo at a cost of R1 billion. Once completed, the Super Bakery will produce 24,000 loaves of bread per hour making it the largest bakery in the Southern Hemisphere.

Our discussions with Tiger Brands management focused on this investment and the municipality’s infrastructure provision and areas of partnership. Tshwane’s Economic Revitalisation Strategy places emphasis on strengthening municipal services to create a sustainable environment for businesses to thrive and create jobs.
