@BaBellew If it means a shithead crypto bro wastes money, sure. I think grading cards is kinda cool but also that space of the hobby is full of weirdos.
@rayanekaslana@Blends_Wave You can do that but it's generally been easier to offer store credit so players can get singles and new products when they come out since there has been a serious issue keeping product in stock for Pokémon.
@rayanekaslana@Blends_Wave Pretty easy honestly, pay $10 for entry, payout to top 4 in store credit with promo packs provided by Pokémon. Rounds are based on the internal Pokémon tournament software and everything is run pretty easily honestly.
@rayanekaslana@Blends_Wave They also make professors pay for pre-release promos, not sure why @playpokemon is okay with stores making staff pay for promos they are given for free.
@rayanekaslana@Blends_Wave Literally any other local tournament.
I offered to run their locals as a judge with 7 years of experience in the program and was told that they wanted someone with more 'experience' and choose to use someone to run their horrific locals who threatened to assault me.
🚨 **Big changes might be coming to how you buy Pokémon cards.**
To fight scalpers and bots, The Pokémon Company is considering requiring **government issued ID verification** for premium TCG lottery events and exclusive drops.
It stops the bots but are you willing to show your ID just to buy cardboard? 🤔
@Blends_Wave It’s a long story but basically I asked why they won’t run a normal locals and instead run a weird open play thing where you have to pay $5 to enter and get a single pack 😆
#Browns trade of Myles Garrett to the #Rams for Jared Verse and a first round pick is official, source says. #Browns get the 2027 1st, a second 2028 and a 3rd in 2029
Top 512 at Indy, deck was good but we hit one too many bad matchups unfortunately. GamingGen is generationally horrible.
S/O to all the super fun people I got to hang out with!
