@xlilscrappy@PlayApex If they make it to where only your teamates can recall you when your knocked only, it wouldnt kill her. It would force teams to play smarter and have someone holding the portal to revive instead of 3man apes and if u get knocked u just recall
How I would fix Ranked in @PlayApex
Remove Contesting
Just like in Comp where we do a draft for our POIs in Ranked you should just be given a random POI. At the start of the game it should give you a message, your team is landing "Barometer" and then you can adjust ur characters according to the POI if you want to. We have tried this system in private custom ranked for pros and it worked great. Every game in Ranked there's about 7 teams contesting and 3 teams landing to 3p a contest that immediately kills half the lobby round 1 and is probably the biggest reason as to why quality of lobbies are so bad. So by removing contesting you can actually give the lobby a chance to be played out similarly to how a comp game would instead of a pub game.
Point Distribution
Winning a game of Ranked gives you a 125 placement points at the entry cost of 90 that means if you win a game with 0 kp you go +35. That does not feel good whatsoever, in fact it is incredibly depressing. What's the point of playing to win if you basically gain nothing by doing so. This just sets ranked up for failure from the start, everyone knows that placements do not matter unless you have a lot of KP. There is only one playstyle in Ranked to gain points and that is to mindlessly look for fights all the time. Getting 5 kills gives you +130 rp, so a win is less points than 5 kills in Ranked. If we were to compare that to comp you would need 12 kills to get the same amount of points as a win.
I would like to see a change in the point distribution for essentially this goal. Reward people by increasing the placement points for getting top 10. Punish people by increasing the entry cost for getting below top 10. If you get 11th-20th that means you fucked up really badly and you should get punished for it. The other day I was losing for straight 5 hours and after 5 hours I won one game with 20kills and I was back to where I started with the same points on the day. That is absolutely terrible design and way to forgiving for a competitive ranked system.
Matchmaking
Matchmaking still needs to be tightened the improvements for this season so far are non existent. I thought it looked good at the start of the season but it was just the start of the season. I'm already seeing more plat players than pred players in my lobbies which is not good 9 days in. An average distribution for a pred lobby right now is 15 plats 30 diamonds 15 master/pred. Not good.
Solo Queue Ranked
Not only is this needed for the health of the game to retain the people that don't have friends to play with every single day. But on top of that as long as there are 3 stacks fighting solo queue mixes in Ranked, lobbies will forever be unbalanced. 9/10 times a 3 stack will beat a solo q mix and the longer a season goes on for the more players start solo queueing and the easier the lobbies get for 3 stacks and the worse the quality gets. We will never have a balanced nor competitive ranked system for as long as this remains a thing, we will just keep repeating the cycle of having good lobbies for the first week of the season and as more time passes the worse it deteriorates.
Ranked should be a gateway into competitive Apex not just a more stacked pub lobby and I believe these changes would align with that goal.

@Alliance_Hakis@PlayApex Your favorite pro team can play an edge playstyle but in ranked is useless. There needs to be a point to where running around and getting kills isnt the sole factor. I see this first hand with my team where as we can get to middle plat playing heavy zone
