@MrMaitra@NotoriousAKG@anangbhai I agree that Republican voters dont. But republicans just use that as a rhetoric but would never address it because their corporate lobby interest relies on cheap immigrant lobby.
@MrMaitra Republicans controlled polities tend to use more illegal immigrant jobs. Whilst democratic tend to have legal educated immigrants. So there’s also this confusion when Republicans say they want legal educated immigrants.
@MrMaitra The new right has to grapple with that right wing politicians use anti immigrant rhetoric is deceptive tactic to appeal lower class Americans whilst simultaneously depriving immigrants of legal right so corporations can exploit them for low wages.
@stephenwertheim So I suggest those countries make amends with China and accept her rising economic power. Instead of trying to get the U.S. into a war to stop Chinas rise.
@stephenwertheim There will be no repeat of last time. China hold grievances towards the countries that took her territories and waged an opium war during the century of humiliation which America played a minimal role.
@IAmDouglasKim It’s true. That’s why they’ve always had countries fighting over them even though they produce nothing of value. It’s also why China hates them.
@IAmDouglasKim The East India Company created by Indians was to Britain, what AIPAC is today for America. You can contrast it with the Dutch Indies company which actually enriched the Netherlands. They never have create a transnational Indonesian military.
@IAmDouglasKim If anything the British were victim of Indian imperialism. They got to travel around and become a transnational petty managerial bourgeoisie for the colonies of Britain all on the crowns dime while the crown itself was always bankrupt.
@AngelicaOung A lot of the locations he mentioned are Muslim dominated. So the Brits and Americans get anxious when Europeans make incursion on those land. It goes back to the crusades.
