Ferry Service Advisory for Thursday. Nov. 18: The following sailings have been cancelled due to strong winds. Departing Kingsville at 6pm and Friday, Nov 19 departing Pelee at 8 am. Regular schedule will resume tomorrow departing Kingsville at 10am.

Ferry Service Advisory Wednesday, Nov 17: Due to an incoming weather system, today's evening ferry schedule has been revised and will be departing earlier than scheduled. The ferry will depart Pelee Island at 2:30pm and Kingsville at 4:30pm.

Conditions on Pelee Island west side were particularly challenging around the 6pm scheduled departure. As @CaptainEmmaN has previously noted, forecast are not always accurate.

Ferry Service Advisory: Pelee Islander 2's 6pm departure from Kingsville tonight (Oct 21), and 8am departure from Pelee Island tomorrow (Oct 22) have been cancelled due to weather conditions. Ferry service is scheduled to resume with 9:45am departure from Kingsville (Oct 22).

Since I live on Pelee's westside I was aware that the forecast underestimated wind speed, so I drove to the dock to watch how the boat would manage those wind conditions. You nailed it. Thank you for your efforts to provide reliable service

Windy day yesterday with lots of lake water and small stones thrown up on Pelee Island's West Shore Road. Thanks to the Captain and crew of the Pelee Islander II for maintaining ferry service under challenging conditions

Extra sailings are appreciated, especially by Pelee's farming community. But they don't help the weekend visitors nor the tradesmen who lose a day of work due to ferry cancellation. They won't come back. And slowly my community dies. #ItsThePITS

Really? What about the 10:00 am departure from Kingsville? Also cancelled - this time without notification. Also the rescheduling of the 4:00 pm sailing to 2:00 pm, once again without notification? You're killing my community

What happened to the notifications of sailing changes yesterday, @ontarioferries? You cancelled the 7:00 am and 10:00 am sailings and then moved the 4:00 pm sailing up to 2:00 pm with no text to notify the travelling public

Monday's sailing cancellations and schedule changes were beyond comprehension! Even the Jiimaan would have handled Monday's weather. How can @ONtransport explain spending $40m of taxpayer dollars on a new vessel only to provide less reliable service?
