I looked at many sneak peeks just to see what Ashโs Brawler Blast description thing is and yes, the defining piece of gameplay for this character is THE BUBONIC PLAGUE ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐
@REN_12234 I'm so happy that I'm not the only one that has been noticing this. This is the number 1 reason why the game has been feeling worse imo the last couple of years. And idk if this related, but the game's been like this ever since the rise of temporary events with the Godzilla event
โ ๏ธIMPORTANT READ!โ ๏ธ
๐ If you think this Tweet is too long, there's a TL;DR at the very bottom.
I think we can all agree that Brawl's quality has dropped quite a lot over the past few years. There's a huge difference between 2019-2023 and 2024-2026. The devs' ambition is simply too high for what they can realistically deliver.
Ever since they started adding temporary events and major features to every update, development has had to follow strict deadlines to get everything released on time. That's why we got Records in the state it was in, for example. That's why we constantly have problematic bugs in the game, and why they can take months to fix. They simply can't keep up.
At the same time, we can't tell the devs to stop making big updates now. Without them, players would say that the game is empty, "dry" and has no content. The standards of today's playerbase are exaggerated anyway.
But the problem with having deadlines for big updates is that major, chaotic bugs can happen. The loss of exclusivity because of the Oddities Shop is one example.
Looking at other games in the industry that can be compared to Supercell in terms of budget, their devs will usually disable anything affected by an exploit and fix it quickly. Supercell doesn't do that.
Regardless of how long it takes to actually fix a bug, it shouldnโt take nearly as long to come up with a temporary solution to prevent it from being abused.
And I know I'm speaking from the outside and have no idea what is actually happening internally at Supercell, but I have one suggestion that should satisfy the playerbase at least halfway.. the devs can find a good compromise.
Bugs are normal. It's completely understandable that fixing one can take some time. But what isn't normal is for a player to have no idea whether the devs are even aware that a bug exists AND for the devs to do nothing to stop the bug from being abused until it gets fixed.
I'm talking about things like Colette having her Shield bug for three weeks without being disabled again, or Basket Brawl being abused through the wall exploit for six months already.
We need communication. We need posts where Supercell clearly explains that they are aware of a bug, regardless of how minor it is. Then they should let us know when it gets fixed, and ideally explain what they're doing to prevent it from being abused in the meantime.
Players deserve this. They need this. It's the bare minimum, regardless of how much effort the devs need to put into communicating with us. This is simply a healthy and normal way to communicate with your playerbase.
The fact that I have absolutely no idea whether Supercell is even aware of the Oddities Shop bug, where players aren't getting as many offers as they should despite having tons of old skins left to obtain, is insane. Imagine being a content creator like Kairos and not being able to answer a subscriber asking "can you tell me when Supercell is going to fix this bug? it's really annoying me". And speaking of the Oddities Shop bug, it has already been two updates btw. 4 whole months.
TL;DR
Supercell should create another Twitter account dedicated to clearly and consistently communicating every major issue with the game, and let us know when those issues are going to be fixed. They could even ask the community what problems they're experiencing.
The moment a player feels like they're talking to a wall, you know there is a lack of transparency. And that's especially strange coming from the Brawl team, considering everything they've said in the past on podcasts and social media. And I'm not even talking about new & old features related suggestions, I'm talking only about bugs.
Also the OC below was created by @josenylsonseraf. Please check out their work. They absolutely deserve the support.
I guess itโs worth trying to tell them this, so I'm tagging everyone.
