@Luminouslead I didn't understand it either until the party scene where Real Nikki came out and was screaming "Its not me! Its not me!", this movie had so many nuances to what Nikki was going thru and then hits u with that CSR phone call so we could hear the real horror of her experience.

@emkenobi "I wish Nikki Freeman loved more than anyone in the fcukin world"...they always say magic is about intent and the wish came from anger/frustration/resentment/selfishness. He could've said "I wish me and Nikki were in a happy romantic relationship" & that mightve worked better.

Bear almost throws up the pills but we see how the wish works instantly (Nikki makes it). He didnt even care about dying, he just wanted Nikki, so we see how "Nikki's" only purpose became to live for Bear. Wow.

@cinemetary Bear started out as harmless, his wish was just a stupid wish and I'm sure we've all been there b4. But when he realized Nikki was literally an entirely different person & she was begging 4 death he still used her body & her mind til he couldn't control her anymore.

@SpIinterCaI The vacant look in Nikki's eyes during the sex scene...that was r*pe. And Nikki was basically in The Sunken Place. Watching herself be abused but unable to stop it. Once Bear became aware Nikki wasn't Nikki, he was guilty, full stop & I felt so messed up leaving the theater.

@seaofbelIs When Nikki told Bear "I've never been w/ u" "kill me plz" "she's asleep" that's when he became conscious of his abuse & there was some level of revenge of him continuing to let her suffer bcuz she didnt choose him in the way that he always wanted.

@apat10 "Just kill me plz" broke me bcuz I think thats when Bear turned slightly villainous. His "what's so bad about being w/ me?" was anger for her not returning his feelings & he knew she was suffering. And the sex scene was very hard bcuz u could see the real Nikki wasn't even there.

@DiscussingFilm Nikki's free will was completely taken away from her & she was trapped in her own body, she was the true victim. But Bear wasn't malicious, he was just in love & had no idea his wish would work. But Nikki having to live w/ the things "she" did is the real horror for me.

#Obsession was 1 of thee most messed up movies I've seen in awhile. Like, the ending reminded me of The Mist. Its like I am literally still thinking about it but I also know I aint wishing for anything ever again. And that ONE scene? One of the most brutal ever.

@TracyTea Faison was involved w/ the memory mapping w/ Helena & Drew/Jason & only twins are susceptible (Anna/Alex, Ryan/Kevin) so I'm pretty sure this isn't Nathan but his twin and they'll probably retcon it like Nathan is alive/kidnapped & Cassius has his memories up until Nathan died.
