Everything i’m about to say is not from me being an Auburn fan, it’s from me being what I am at heart, a football fan.
I’m tweeting this directly to the deluded Alabama fanbase. We are not mad just because of you guys getting in. We are mad that the committee put you in after getting your doors blown off in a conference championship game and you were the only team not punished for losing their conference championship game meanwhile you had the worst Conference champ game performance this weekend next to BYU. BYU was punished. You were not.
We are mad that the committee essentially put a fraud in the playoffs. We are mad that the committee just spat in the face of multiple other teams that deserved it more than you. We are mad that the committee essentially said the SEC Championship game doesn’t matter. We are mad that they ignored their own criteria (which they used to kick teams like 2017 Auburn out) and tossed that criteria out the window simply because it’s Alabama.
Accept it. There is alabama bias. Nothing is against you. Everything is for you. No matter what they will treat bama better than anyone in the nation. Alabama are the spoiled children of CFB forever and always.
So to summarize this tweet, we are mad that the committee just ruined our sport just so they can give their sweet precious Alabama as many chances as possible.
CFB was ruined by what happened today🖕
@deepfriedblake@FOTPDave No because the current format is 2 years old. The format doesn’t matter regardless if there isn’t a clear answer on if you should punish a team for ccg losses or not. You can’t just scream “12 team format” to fit your narrative and protect Bama
@deepfriedblake@FOTPDave If you can’t understand that number of playoff teams is irrelevant to answer the question of if a ccg loser should be punished then this conversation will go nowhere. The point is that we’ve seen it happen before, thus we shouldn’t be shocked if it happens again
@deepfriedblake@FOTPDave Irrelevant. They got booted for a team that didn’t play in a conference championship game and that’s the debate again this year. So do you punish a team that plays ccg or not? History says yes
@still_tippin_ @thirdlawson @chadzillain@jontweetssports@jahj40 Ok so here it is, in 2017 we saw 2 teams ranked in the top 4 lose their conference championship game and thus got booted from the playoff. Which is fine, but they got booted for a team that didn’t play in a conference championship game. We are possibly going to see the same again
@still_tippin_@chadzillain @thirdlawson @jontweetssports@jahj40 Buddy, I think the only dumb person here is you. If you can’t accept the fact that the number of playoff teams is in fact irrelevant, then we definitely can’t continue this conversation because you’ll never understand
@still_tippin_@chadzillain @thirdlawson @jontweetssports@jahj40 That’s not what is in question. It’s simple, do you punish the team that played the extra game for a team that didn’t? That’s what happened in 2017 and should happen again this year
@still_tippin_@chadzillain @thirdlawson @jontweetssports@jahj40 Format is honestly irrelevant… the fact is a team was punished for playing the extra game while a team that didn’t reaped reward from it. Not to mention Bama got beat by Auburn that year.
@thirdlawson @jontweetssports@jahj40 Not only that but they got left out for a team that they already beat in Bama. Crazy how it’s only a problem now when it’s Bama that should be getting booted from the playoffs
@barnsalot Agreed, not only that tho, 2017 Auburn and Wisconsin got punished for playing in conference championship game. Bama reaped the reward then but now it’s a problem…
