I haven’t read much in the last year. A few audiobooks and that’s it. But I’m scrolling too much these days. Just downloaded 3 different books on my kindle (romance, murder, memoir) let’s see if one of those sucks me in. I miss reading!

Just discovered N has been awake and on her tablet for the last two hours. It’s 5am. And Matt had already helped her with something at 2:30. So she’s probably been awake since then. He’s trying to put her back down now, but also not wake up H. WHY IS IT ALWAYS THE WEEKEND.🫠

Feel like I’m doing pretty well emotionally/mentally for being 3.5 days postpartum. But then a baby blanket comes out of the wash looking differently than it went in and cue all the tears 😭.

Some nights fly by and then some nights I’ve been awake 4 or 5 times to pee/turn over and I check the time assuming my alarm is about to go off and it’s 2am. Really hoping the second half of this night is actually restful instead of exhausting 🤦‍♀️

We were in bed lights off before midnight on Christmas Eve! And then I remembered I didn’t put together this one thing for the kids stockings so Matt had to run to the car and I had to assemble - I finished at 12:02. So close!

Wanna know why I don’t buy things ahead of time? Because then I forget about them and/or lose them. Just now remembered I bought N a Christmas dress a couple months ago. Not a single clue where that dress is now.

This baby is SO active late at night and through the night but then rarely moves the first part of the day. So glad they already have their days and nights mixed up 🙃

Today my 6.5 yo son came home with a note from a girl classmate saying “I like you ❤️” and then he had another piece of paper where I was instructed to write down my phone number so a different girl could call him 🤦‍♀️😂

It has been a long day. I reaaaaally just want good Mexican food and a blended margarita 😭 but alas my kids are in bed and I’m pregnant so no Mexican and marg for me. Only 9 weeks left 😂
