@KayaSerhan_ These people have some of the highest IQ in the world. Political unity provided security and stability to the Chinese, so they made use if it in business, education, infrastructure development. So are we at all surprised?
@andykondo_jp Japanese firms avoid layoffs and rightsizing, make market correction slow and often too late. Multipath way was always possible but the slow pace of Hybrid development (no significant leaps from THS 2 to 5) gave an opportunity for pure EV makers to rise.
@Unveiled_ChinaX That’s because Sam’s more popular than Costco you doofus. Some brands do better in some markets, and other brands do better in other markets.
@johndeanl Indeed, surprising to see how much Japan loves air-conditioning. China is a big country with many climates so they’re doing pretty well already.
But if you live somewhere hot all year long like India and you don’t have AC, you’re gonna be in for a bad time.
@Presto58431883@andykondo_jp Regarding co2 emissions, the per capita emission is probably still less than western countries orange even Japan. So as China gdp rises, it’s not that surprising it will rise even more, a regression to the mean I guess.
@Presto58431883@andykondo_jp Adding thermal plants is not necessarily bad as long as it’s replacing older, more polluting equipment. Therefore you can still open new coal power plants (in combined cycle) that runs much more efficient than old equipment, and produce more power.
@Presto58431883@andykondo_jp What are you talking about? Ice peak at 45% thermally efficient. Combined cycle thermal power plants near 68%. Adding more thermal plants is still net win
@EngineEngrRnD Toyota and its suppliers are not infallible, just look at how many times they publically apologize for substandard quality or faking data.
To explain Chinese component are low cost only by subsidies is surface level analysis and ignores the structural reasons for lower costs.
@MichaeSlMauck@dunne_insights They’ve been known to corrode in the past because of subpar paint and component plating. In the last few years they’ve made substantial gains, especially on export models as a result of selling in Russia and elsewhere.
