Two ethical hackers achieved a near 90% success rate exploiting a flaw in Aptos' core consensus mechanism using a server costing just THREE-THOUSAND dollars.
The attack exposed a vulnerability that could have theoretically put $70B in network value at risk before it was patched.

The hack cost only hundreds of dollars to execute, highlighting how a relatively inexpensive exploit could have threatened one of crypto's largest Layer 1 networks before the vulnerability was fixed.
