Day 1 open beta thoughts
Removing base tac sprint w
Ttk w
Aim assist w
You can’t remove tac sprint without buffing generic movement. You created an issue where generic movement is so slow that you now have to use a perk slot to remedy it so it changes nothing
Tac mask feels useless because flashes and stuns are still egregious.
Character movement still feels heavy and not snappy in the slightest
Classic cod was all about being smooth and reactive. Fast ads speeds, faster strafe speeds, less weapon sway and bobbing. A mix of precision and speed. The reason why CoD took off as a franchise is because it felt smoother and more reactive than any other controller/console game. Remember the essence of what made CoD great it wasn’t movement. It wasn’t realism. It was feeling buttery smooth and snappy like your inputs and your character reacted to every one of your inputs and movements. Clean, precise and fast. Twitchy without feeling spastic.
Nerfing skill expression is not the proper path forward. Positioning and timing how you maneuver the map should be rewarded but it shouldn’t be the end all be all.
Rewarding the mastery of mechanics not the abusive nature of them.
Make CoD great again.
Omni-Movement should be the default movement in Call of Duty...
Play one match of BO7 or Warzone after trying out MW4, then come back to this tweet and tell me Omni-Movement isn't better.
I'd say you're lying.
Black Ops 7 did the right thing by giving players a choice over tactical sprint, and it would greatly benefit Modern Warfare 4 if they did the same here.
Gotta stop the yelling during SND it’s lame as hell. I don’t care what team is playing it’s LAME!! Obviously you’d use it to your advantage but boooooooo 🍅
.@MaTtKs Can we please nerf this in Season 1? I've been playing Call of Duty since Black Ops 1 and there was NEVER an instance where you can completely hide from the HARP/VSAT/Blackbird.
It's the 4th highest streak in the game and more than enough counters to it. Shooting it down, EMP, and Counter UAV. Please man..
I have come up with a Perk Balancing Feedback concept that I personally think would be the best for Black Ops 7. @MaTtKs@LawrenceMetten#BO7Beta
- Dexterity is now a default feature.
- Stalker is added as a blue perk.
- Scout is now reworked to give you a ping on your minimap for nearest enemy after a kill instead of keeping you completely off the minimap for 5 seconds.
- Movement defining Perks are all moved together into Perk 3 Column
- Playstyle defining Perks are all moved together into Perk 1 Column.
- Miscellaneous/Less Used Perks are all moved together into Perk 2 Column to get usage rates up.
Perk 1:
Scavenger (Red)
Assassin (Red)
Bankroll (Red)
Looper (Red)
Ghost (Blue)
Cold Blooded (Blue)
Engineer (Blue)
Flak Jacket (Green)

Playing the Black Ops 7 Open Moshpit mode, and so far:
- Instant matchmaking times
- Lower ping every match
- Variety of skills in every match
- You can play several matches and not feel like you're in a CDL pro lobby
Genuinely hope Activision keeps this in for launch.
@ModernWarzone@Treyarch Said this at NEXT. They keep bragging about their next gen movement and then make the game feel like shit without dedicated perks.
Every. Fucking. Year.
