Uganda does not have any HIV vaccine.
The increase in new HIV infections should certainly be taken seriously.
Prevention currently relies on proven measures such as:
1. Consistent and correct use of condoms
2. Abstinence
3. HIV testing of partner’s whose status you do not know
4. PrEP, PEP after possible exposure, and
5. Adherence to ARVs as prescribed by the health worker.
