With the new year
I wanted to say the three best ways to become a different/better person:
1) Change the food and other things that are consumed by your body.
2) Change the ideas that go into your mind.
3) Change the way you spend your time each & every day, week & month.
@4everRFfan@rogerfederer This is a fraction of a reason why I prefer Roger over Novak as a fan. The serve where anything could happen and it's not some kind of being advantage, it's technique.
For instance Bernie Sanders preaching free college tuition for all and forgiving student debt but he never suggests for a sustained independent study to explore ways to lower the tuition in the college system to make it affordable. No government ever look into reforming the rental market (the barrier between homeless and poverty) why are countries exploring a similar model to Singapore where people get more affordable housing and can't easily horde property from profit. Why don't we have state run pharmaceuticals research so that older and established medicine like for asthma and diabetes can be sold in a more competitive market at a reasonable price? There are more creative answers than blankedly treating the rich likethe boogieman. And I like Bernie he has the right motivation but the policies are just never there. Some billionaires are vultures, some just game the system moving numbers around and don't really contribute anything. Other billionaires like even Jeff Bezos if one day his net worth suddenly halved, tens of thousands of high paid workers will be taken out of the middle class, his low income workers will lose even the low income job they had access to. Arguably the rise to billionaire status of some people like this provided many people a path way into the upper middle class a relatively affluent lifestyle just by the jobs required to make it a reality.
@omgsidewalks Hollywood and politicians miseducating people on economics should be illegal. The vast majority of the budget are funded by the top 10% that's the billionaires and their employees. The affordability of household costs is a tapestry of human decision making it's complex/ layered.
Boris Becker interview: I have lost 95%' of my friends
He counts Djokovic as one of his most important confidants. When he was at his nadir, all alone in his cell for up to 22 hours a day, the Serb superstar defended him, saying: "I consider Boris really a family member, someone I greatly appreciate, respect and care about." "For him not to turn his back speaks to his character," Becker says.
