Happy Democracy Day to a nation practicing autocracy in broad daylight. A country where the ballot box feels like a suggestion box, the only thing truly free and fair is the daily dose of insecurity and banditry.🇳🇬💔

My friend who just got married came to ask me how I did it 🫣😁
She said she wants to do antenatal in a government hospital but she’s hearing stories that the nurses are very strict and too direct 😂
I laughed and told her… well, let me tell you what actually worked for me in Nigeria antenatal system 👇🏽
1. I registered very early
Don’t wait until belly is already doing rumbling before you now start looking for hospital 😭 Early registration makes everything smoother.
2. I always showed up neat and well prepared
Not because of anybody, but because it helps you feel confident. Comfortable clothes, hair packed, card ready, everything in order.
3. I spoke calmly and respectfully
Even when I was tired or emotional, I reminded myself that everybody there is under pressure. Calm communication saves you energy honestly.
4. I never missed antenatal dates
Those sections may look like routine but that’s where they teach you things you will actually need on delivery day.
5. I always carried my hospital card like my life depended on it 😭
In some clinics, if you forget card number … you will hear Madam go and come back and your heart will drop.
6. I made sure I arrived early for appointments. Because waiting in government hospitals is not for the faint-hearted. The earlier you go, the better your flow.
7. I learned to ask questions without fear
If you don’t understand anything, ask. Don’t assume. Pregnancy is not the time for guessing.
8. I kept small essentials in my bag always. Water, snacks, tissue, charger… because you never know how long you’ll stay there.
Truth is, antenatal in Nigeria can humble you 😂 but it also prepares you for one of the most important days of your life.
And about strict nurses… I just learned that most of them are just doing their job under pressure. If you move with understanding, everything becomes easier.
What’s one antenatal or hospital experience you’ll never forget? 🤍
Keep sharing; the whole world must see the gen@cide happening in Nigeria under the leadership of the Islamic fundamentalist government of Bola Ahmed Tinubu🥲
and touch the hearts of those who have lost their humanity. 🙏🏽
A nation that cannot protect its children is a nation in urgent need of healing.Happy Children’s Day to every child. May your future be safe, bright, and full of love. 🤍✨
#ChildrensDay#ProtectOurChildren
Today should be about laughter, innocence, dreams, and the joy that every child deserves. Sadly, many children are growing up in a world filled with fear, violence, kidnapping, abuse, and pain. 😢
No child deserves to suffer. No child deserves cruelty.
No child deserves to live in fear.
As we celebrate Children’s Day, may we not only post pictures and wishes, but also remember the children who are hurting, displaced, abused, or missing. May God protect every child out there and...
