@Yannaralas I do think the pacing of the movies is better if you want a story. The books are more of an experience? I'm not exactly sure how to word it. The first half of the Fellowship is like a skill-check in a way, if that makes sense.

@Yannaralas I'd say I agree for the most part but it's somewhat nuanced methinks... In universe, Bilbo wrote the first half of Fellowship, but Frodo wrote the second half, plus the Two Towers + Return of The King. Frodo's style is much more action-focused, while Bilbo's is more detailed. 1/2
