This afternoon, I had a wonderful interaction with the Appointments Committee of Parliament, an experience that has further strengthened my commitment to not only do my best, but to do whatever it takes to meet the expectations of the people of Uganda.

I am deeply grateful to the Committee for its approval and the confidence it has placed in me. As I prepare to take the oath of office, I pledge to faithfully uphold it and to serve with dedication, integrity, and unwavering commitment to our nation.

I look forward to contributing my utmost to the development and progress of Uganda.

This afternoon at Teso College Aloet, I had the honor of serving as the chief guest at the rewarding ceremony for the best UCE and UACE performing students of 2025.

I extend my sincere gratitude to the head teacher for granting me this opportunity, and I commend the leadership and stewardship demonstrated in preserving the high standards the school has upheld over the past seven decades.

I also appreciate the NRM government for its continued commitment to ensuring that Ugandans receive quality education, enabling them to compete on a global stage.

Today at the National Leadership Institute, Kyankwanzi, I had the privilege of chairing a session during which Hon. Maj. Gen. Matsiko Henry presented on the topic, “A Protracted People’s Struggle: Unpacking the History and Ideological Principles of the National Resistance Movement.”

From the discussion, I further observed that ideology provides a vital framework for reflection and, more importantly, informs our cardinal strategies in addressing societal challenges such as poverty, corruption, and ignorance. It is through a clear and grounded ideological perspective that sustainable solutions to these persistent issues can be effectively designed and implemented.

Today, i joined my comrade the Vice President @jessica_alupo as she was declared unopposed for the position of Katakwi Woman Member of Parliament after her sole challenger, Angela Anuken, withdrew her candidature early this morning.
Ms. Anuken had opted to contest on an independent ticket after losing in the @NRMOnline primaries.That is the unity that has made @NRMOnline a solid mass party.
