Focus on coaching those who DO show up this summer.
Don’t invest time worrying about those who refuse to put in the work or make excuses.
We also must keep in mind that kids have busy lives as well. When we get them there this summer, treat everyone’s time like gold and get the most out of it.

I want to buy a golf course just so I can hire staff to monitor the real crimes.
Don’t fix your ball marks? Letter.
Don’t replace divots? Letter.
Don’t rake bunkers? Letter.
Tear up the range and leave it for someone else? Letter.
Wear your hat inside. Wear it backwards. Play with your shirt untucked. I could not care less.
But don’t take care of the course?
Third offense and you’re out.
1. Texas coach Steve Sarkisian: We could beat Texas Tech's schedule with ours twos and threes.
2. TTU coach Joey McGuire: We'd love to play Texas.
3. TTU Booster Cody Campbell: We'll pay the buyout for both team's Week 1 opponents so Texas Tech and Texas can play.
Your move, Texas ...
Big pet peeve of mine is
Meet and evaluate a player
Give them the blueprint what to do
A month later they tell me they feel stuck
I ask “did you do the stuff I gave you”
“No”
I want to say “TF you want me to do about that” but instead I say “well you have the answer go do it”
Don’t expect results if you don’t put in the effort I don’t feel like that’s a crazy statement
Grit is not the absence of fear.
It's the acknowledgement of it and having the willingness to still act.
It's being uncertain of an outcome, but remaining dedicated to it.
It's allowing the potential for failure in order to achieve success.
