@Mabent57@NotHoodlum@RonFilipkowski Yeah I agree that college is too expensive for teachers and something needs to be done ab the cost I completely agree the only reason I went to college is because my field is very well paid so the cost is out weighed by pay
@AJFletc66410859 Parties of that day have very little similarities to the party’s of today as if you look at 1912 most black voters voted republican and most democrats were passing black codes and Jim Crow laws in the south kinda ironic that you wanna talk ab republicans from the era🤨
@Mabent57@NotHoodlum@RonFilipkowski It took me 5 years but its because I transferred schools and some credits didn’t transfer but I struggle to see how this is relevant at all
@KimuraJinketsu@NotHoodlum@RonFilipkowski I don’t only care about myself actually but I don’t think debt should be wiped out before the root cause is addressed like i said. The cost of college is way too high especially state colleges that we pay taxes towards to begin with. After the cost is down forgiveness can happen
@Sungun1212@NotHoodlum@RonFilipkowski Well the companies that took our loans are still getting paid so they don’t care but like I said I just think the issue of the initial cost of school needs to he addressed first and then we can talk about loan forgiveness
@Mabent57@NotHoodlum@RonFilipkowski My mom helped me pay for basic things like food when I wanted to go out which I’m grateful for but I paid for all my school and my housing myself, and my degree is in computer science
@Wildrider51@NotHoodlum@RonFilipkowski Well for a lot of people it’s only interest but it’s 20k if you have federal pell grants not just in interest but I agree its ridiculous interest rate and cost but I think the actual cost needs to be addressed before loans are forgiven other wise the issue just keeps going
@debortoa @expat_4_ever @BluePowderMonk@NotHoodlum@RonFilipkowski If we could do both I would say do both but all politicians regardless of side have the easiest jobs and act like they have brain damage and can only do 1 thing every 12 months or it will kill them
@BluePowderMonk @AkamaiGuy @NotHoodlum@RonFilipkowski I do pay taxes very good that you noticed I won’t be paying the full 1.5 T bill very good observation but I will be paying my fair share so idk what you want me to do, because you clearly don’t understand that everyone who pays taxes contributes there fair share?
@Jkane126 @NotHoodlum@RonFilipkowski Loan forgiveness might be ok but the cost of state college needs to be addressed before because college costs are rising faster than inflation, as the costs rise so do loans but why is the cost so high is if we pay taxes to pay for public colleges as well this needs fixed first
@KimuraJinketsu@NotHoodlum@RonFilipkowski Lmao I have debt too and it’s crazy that your implying that I’m saying fuck you to everyone else because I don’t think I should have to pay mine and everyone else’s state college needs to be more affordable so we don’t need to forgive 250k in loans but we shouldn’t forgive first
@SantiniAir78@NotHoodlum@RonFilipkowski Im not fortunate enough to pay for it I took out loans I had little money out of pocket I just got a degree that I can make enough money to pay back my loans, I think state colleges should be way more affordable and I don’t think I should be required to pay for someone else
@Telltha_Truth_ @NotHoodlum@RonFilipkowski Yeah I agree it’s weird that we pay so much money towards education in taxes and people still take our 250k in loans it needs to be addressed. I just feel the cost needs to be addressed before we forgive loans otherwise it’s just a bandaid solution that doesn’t fix the root issue
