@rexomus47 I somewhat agree with this because we depend on entertainment a lot because of the lack of genuine connection and shared cultural experiences. With the technology we have today some seek belonging from screens instead of finding it in communities.
We are addicted to entertainment because we are bored.
We are bored because we are lonely.
We are lonely because we have no common culture that binds us in community.
We do not have a common culture because we rely on the entertainment industry to give us culture.
And the cycle repeats itself over and over.
It’s a diabolical distraction, keeping our attention off God and our minds hypnotized by impulse and pleasure.
Culture is the embodiment and manifestation of our beliefs, practices, virtues and traditions; it is the knowledge and way of life preserved by our ancestors and handed down from one generation to to the next.
Culture generates unity: binding people together in common virtue and cause. Diversity divides people and produces chaos, corruption, conflict, and ridicule.
People who oppose or refuse to adopt or assimilate the common culture will fracture a community into dust.
