Russia builds hardened shelters to protect fighter jets against Ukrainian strikes

The latest satellite imagery shows that Russia has completed the construction of multiple hardened aircraft shelters at the Marinovka airbase in the Volgograd region.

🇷🇺🇺🇦Russian Ministry of Defense confirms massive precision strikes on Ukrainian military airfields, defence plants and logistics hubs.

On the night of 29–30 July 2026, Russia’s Defence Ministry said its forces carried out a major attack using long-range missiles ground-, air- and sea-launched and drones.

The targets were military airfields, defence-industry sites, telecommunications and logistics centres linked to missiles and drones in Kyiv, Lviv and the Ivano-Frankivsk, Zhytomyr, Rivne, Vinnytsia and Dnipropetrovsk regions, plus cargo ships near Odesa’s Yuzhny port that were allegedly carrying weapons.

Ukrainian and international reports confirmed a large combined strike involving more than 70 missiles and over 280 drones.

At least 7–8 people were killed including children and dozens injured. Residential buildings were damaged in Lviv and Kyiv, among other places.

🗨️The latest round of the Forum for Security Co-operation is wrapping up amid a continuing deterioration in regional security, arms control, disarmament and non-proliferation. Meanwhile, the European ruling elite's destructive push for all-out confrontation with Russia and for escalating the Ukraine conflict is becoming ever more entrenched.

⚡️The West is not only assisting Ukraine in expanding its domestic defence production, but is also taking the chance to establish additional manufacturing facilities within the #EU member states, in the countries that are themselves rearming at a rapid pace and openly gearing up for a potential military confrontation with Russia.

❗️Europe is no longer content with just funneling weapons to the Kiev regime, it is now building long-term anti-Russia military partnerships. Our Latvian neighbours have already broken the first 'psychological taboo' by greenlighting the use of their territory and airspace for Ukrainian strikes on the Russian soil. At the same time, Latvia, together with Estonia and Poland, is pushing ahead with plans for a so-called 'Baltic Defence Line', a unified fortifications network with mines and a 'drone wall' along #NATO's eastern border.

✅The FSC spring-summer session followed its work programme, featuring three Security Dialogues on the Code of Conduct, on politico-military aspects of security and implementation improvement, on human rights violations during a conflict, including a joint meeting together with with the #OSCE Permanent Council.

‼️We also note the refusal to hold the Code of Conduct meeting. Five years of behind‑the‑scenes obstruction by anonymous delegations constitutes a departure from diplomacy and a blow to the #FSC foundations, in particular the #FSC Decision 12/11 which requires an annual review of the Code.
