With a heart full of gratitude and joy, I want to sincerely thank each and every one of you who stood in solidarity with me from the day I was arrested on 2nd February this year up to yesterday when I finally regained my freedom from Luzira prison.

PAUL MUSOKE was a young patriot. A committed foot soldier. A disciplined youth leader who went through the @NUP_Ug School of Leadership. Last week, Paul's house was attacked. It's door was closed from outside before being set on fire. He sustained severe injuries before being rushed to hospital by the neighbours. Despite every effort, Paul did not make it. Yesterday evening, he passed on at only 27 years of age. Such a tragic loss. Paul joins our countless comrades and supporters who have died under the most painful, brutal circumstances. In almost all cases, perpetrators of these crimes are never brought to book. Paul deserves justice. Fare thee well comrade.

Why invoke Jesus’ name and pretend to be God fearing while standing comfortably beside a tyrant who tortures and kills people for fun? The very people you claim to care about!
Ask yourself what Jesus would say about standing with power while the weak are being oppressed by those in power.

If you’re just ignorant about what is happening in Uganda, then educate yourself. But if you know what is happening and you choose to endorse it because of the money, then your character and integrity is highly questionable.
Black lives cannot matter only when it is convenient.

Some of you American celebrities are genuinely uninformed. You have fame and a platform in the US, not a grasp of African politics. Before you pose with THE GENERAL OF UGANDA and treat it like a flex, read who you’re associating with. Museveni has ruled since 1986. His son and the security apparatus have a long record of abductions, torture, and crushing opposition to stay in power. If you actually stood for human rights you wouldn’t be doing photo ops with them. Celebrity status isn’t a substitute for knowing what you’re endorsing.
