@Jacksles29@motherboard I think it’ll be difficult to make a hologram based basketball game feel as realistic as a real one, however, I think the this version of concerts may become very popular! Especially after the tragic incident at Travis Scott’s concert, I’m sure many will look into this option.
@stephjour_ It’s alarming to see the length to which some parents will go just to know more about their child’s progress in school. Children should not have this much information about them available on the internet; their privacy definitely needs to be respected.
@marissa_lopez22 Although TikTok is known for its entertainment factors, I have seen multiple posts regarding safety, mental health, etc. It’s a great way to spread awareness since so many people our age are constantly scrolling on it.
@mortynorick As someone who has attempted to create a small business via Instagram, I understand how difficult it can be to get exposure. I think this addition will be very beneficial for creators for the holidays!
A helpful way for new businesses to get media coverage and for Pinners to engage in their deals! (I recommend checking out the video on the website as well as the article!)
@BenJOUR_ It’s upsetting to see this officer acting completely differently on social media than he presented himself to be (as one who oversaw Ethics).
@stephjour_ Oh man this is so odd…but makes sense since my data is still retained even after I redownload an app after I’ve had it deleted for a while.
@marissa_lopez22 The loss in sleep social media is causing our younger generation to have is pretty alarming. I know that since I didn’t have as much exposure to technology as a kid, I never really had problems sleeping, so this article was really interesting!

@mortynorick It’s really refreshing to hear that over 60% of people in a significant number of countries feel comfortable being their true self on TikTok. Especially on Instagram, it’s very typical for users to adjust their personality for their feed, so I’m happy to hear this news!
@Jacksles29 I found it surprising that both Democrats and Republicans agreed on social media’s power to spread information. I was not surprised, however, to hear that there wasn’t a single issue both sides agreed to be most prominent. Very interesting article!
@MartinCSULB Considering Trump’s former involvement with social media, I agree that it will likely be difficult for this platform to take off. In addition, since programs like Twitter are already so successful, I don’t see why “Truth” would gain anywhere near as much interaction.
@marissa_lopez22 I found the “3rd reason” of this article (that Trump’s no longer president) to be very interesting. It is mentioned that due to being banned from many social media sites, his coverage on them has lessened, however, what does the fact that he needed to be banned in the first place

@Jacksles29@TechCrunch Social media is a very permanent thing, as we’ve learned. So, I think the implementation of a practice mode will make many creators a lot more comfortable sharing. Since they’ll have the chance to test it out before actually going live/posting, they’ll likely be more confident!
@marissa_lopez22 I’ve seen multiple stories regarding nature being destroyed due to social media “trends”. This only goes to show how quickly information spreads via social media and how destructive that can be to our ecosystems.
@MartinCSULB The fact Facebook has intentionally kept these kinds of ads up for the public to see is very disturbing. It’s upsetting to hear that they can care more about the amount of interaction their posts get rather than the effect they’ll have on people.
