Last week, I received a call from informing me that President #Trump had appointed me to the Commission on Presidential Scholars. My staff, excited by the news, publicly thanked President #Trump on X for the appointment. Big mistake.

The Nigerian government, already angry over my firm’s work exposing allegations that Nigerian President Bola Tinubu (@officialABAT) was part of a group that smuggled #heroin from Nigeria into the United States during the 1980s and 1990s, seized upon the announcement and flooded the @WhiteHouse with calls, portraying my appointment as part of a proxy war against Nigeria.

I love President @realDonaldTrump, so I immediately apologized to the White House and took down the announcement. I learned something that day: the #Nigerian government is prepared to do everything it can to stop my work exposing its President’s alleged drug-trafficking past. I have a message for President #Tinubu: My resolve remains unchanged, and you will be held accountable for your alleged role in pushing poison (heroin) into the United States.

A few days ago, I received unsolicited offers of $3 million, along with an invitation to a confidential meeting in London, from a highly placed individual whom I have been informed is connected to #Nigerian President Bola #Tinubu. I believe these offers were an attempt to persuade my firm to end our campaign concerning President Tinubu's alleged #heroin-trafficking records.

I refused the offers, immediately preserved screenshots of the exchanges, and forwarded all the evidence to the U.S. Department of Justice (@TheJusticeDept). It remains shocking to me that, despite the @FBI and #DEA's heroin-trafficking allegations concerning Nigerian President Bola Tinubu, @CNN , the @washingtonpost, and the @nytimes have never reported on this shocking story.

It seems The Washington Post’s slogan, “Democracy Dies in Darkness,” applies only when The Washington Post is scrutinizing President @realDonaldTrump and @Republicans. When it concerns the @JoeBiden Administration blocking the release of drug-trafficking documents concerning an African president, there is silence. True journalism in America is dead.

The winners of the 2027 South East Maths Olympiad will travel to Lisbon with their teachers all expense paid to challenge other champions from around the world.

We are also going to Singapore.

We won best in the world this year, and next year, we are determined to win in both countries.

We have awakened a hunger for learning across the South East, and we are doubling down on our mission to completely eradicate illiteracy in the region.

Education will be fun. Learning will be exciting.

And in 10 years, the South East will have the greatest workforce in Africa.

We are just getting started.

Read this if you eat catfish.

Yesterday, I was tagged to a BBC video that showed Indian authorities destroying many catfish farms and burying hundreds of thousands of fish live. Indian authorities claim the fish caused cancer, amongst other things. I checked the scientific name of the catfish and it's Clarias gariepinus, the most common catfish we farm in Nigeria.

I started digging. I first went to WHO's website and I found out that their cancer agency, IARC, dis not lost Clarias gariepinusas a carcinogen. I felt a wave of relief.

I then went further to find out why the Indian authorities would say that the fish is carcinogenic. The official Indian ban from the late 1990s was first about ecology. Our own African catfish is predatory, invasive, and a threat to their native catfish.

African catfish is extremely hardy. It can live in dirty, low-oxygen water that would kill many other fish. Illegal Indian farms often exploit that: drains, slaughterhouse waste, crowded pits, polluted ponds. In that setting the fish can pick up heavy metals (arsenic, cadmium, lead, chromium, mercury), other industrial pollutants and parasites such as fish lice.

Final verdict: African catfish is not carcinogenic. But if it is raised in unclean and polluted water, it can store heavy metals in its body, which may harm the health of the humans that eat it. Be sure of your catfish supplier. Once they maintain good hygiene and healthy practices, you're good to go.

Today, I did a visit to Treasure Okegbola in her home in Bariga, Lagos, to gift her first laptop as I earlier promised her when I visited her school in March. She is by far the best student in her school. She had earlier wanted to discontinue education because no one could support her until i intervened.

She scored 339 in the recent JAMB exam, which made her the best in her school also in JAMB.

Luckily, she chose to study software because it’s her passion and I’m super excited to support her through the journey.

We have identified three Nigerian universities for our first research project. These universities are:

1. University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN)
2. University of Ibadan (UI)
3. Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria (ABU)

These universities were carefully selected based on their antecedents, geographical locations, and the quality of research work in our area of interest.

The project is designed to recruit and fund at least three Ph.D. positions from each university.

We will make this one of the most impactful education research projects in Nigeria.

We find this project critical to the future of education in Nigeria, and I will try to carry everyone along on the journey.

My organization, Educare, will be committing $100,000 within the next 18 months toward academic research exclusively in Nigeria. We will identify and partner with some universities to deliver the outcomes.

We have identified numerous challenges in the Nigerian education sector. However, our first investment will focus on the development and psychometric standardization of school exams, with critical thinking as a core component.

This initiative will span primary, secondary, and tertiary education, significantly improving the quality of learning outcomes in the country.

It is time to start creating a true Nigerian education system that will move our society forward.

A lot of people know about the problems in Nigeria; it is time we start committing to solving them with meaningful research investments.

On Friday, 14 August 2026, at approximately 5:00 PM, a vehicle carrying four women was attacked by armed men along the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway, around the Alakpako axis in Ogun State.

The attackers reportedly pursued the vehicle while firing shots, causing it to crash. Two of the women managed to escape, while my mum, Oremade Olayinka, and another woman were abducted and taken into the surrounding bush.

It has now been several days since my mum was taken.

The kidnappers have reportedly demanded a ₦200 MILLION ransom.

A report has been made at Ajebo Police Station, and search efforts involving vigilantes and other relevant authorities are ongoing.

But we need help and visibility.
