The Good news is that Christ, the sinless Lamb of God, lived the perfect life that we are incapable of living. He then laid down His perfect life in the place of sinful men and women, the righteous for the unrighteous, taking the wrath of God that we deserve, as a sin offering. Pouring out His life, He died on the cross, was buried in borrowed tomb, then rose from the grave on the third day illustrating two foundational truths: 1. His authority, victory, sovereignty, power over sin, death and the grave, and 2. That His sacrifice was acceptable to God. Thus, He alone is able to save, and salvation is offered to all who will repent and believe this good news.
@Protestia The #PCUSA is, collectively God hating, Scripturing rejecting group of utterly unhinged radical lunatics who ought to be in insane asylums while the Gospel is preached daily in the hopes that God will give life to their darkened hearts.
@sarahtexe The difference is this: there is no Bible study, period. It recognizes the essential historical role the Bible occupied in the founding of this nation, as well as in the lives of our founders. Everywhere you turn in Washington, DC, you see Bible verses, and quotes about it.
@PatsKam What does the Bible say about the natural man? That he is dead in sins and trespasses and sins; that he is a slave to sin; that no one seeks God; that no one can come to Christ unless the father draws him, etc. Libertarian free will does not exist nor is it Biblical.
@Protestia Everyone in that synagogue of Satan should have stood up and called this wolf to repent and turn to Christ and then walked out, never to return,
โIn every age the church is threatened by heresy, and heresy is bound up in false doctrine. It is the desire of all heretics to minimize the importance of doctrine. When doctrine is miniยญmized, heresy can exercise itself without restraint.โ R.C. Sproul
