@cycling_dave@GMB Where was the lie in that? I followed a cyclist at the weekend doing consistent 27/28 MPH increasing to 32 on a slight downhill. That was in a 40 zone and happy to sit behind all the time he was doing that speed. Went past when it was safe to do so.
@AdamBronkhorst Not a case of stigma Adam, that van driver is a bellend - no if's but's or maybe. Red light is red light, it means do not pass and does not matter if you are a bike, motorbike, car, van, bus or lorry
@Andreahollywoo1@MartinSLewis One way contract all too common these days. I had broadband with a supplier who had no provision to put price up but they did it anyway (without notice) but the regulator doesn't want to know.
@eggontoast20 @SussexRoadsPol @SussexSRP Add A281 Henfield to Horsham on a Sunday morning & the catch would be ten fold plus possible Guiness records for maximum speed over the limit
@AdamBronkhorst@Johanva26279201 It does not matter about your use of the apostrophe, the vast majority of people will read over that and understand the point you are trying to make.
@AdamBronkhorst@TheHopeOfLight Make it busses only - the car park out the back is easy access for people wanting to shop. Parking in the lay-bys is just laziness. Some thought for those with accessibility needs being the only possible exception and auto raising posts that will only allow buses straight through
@TheHopeOfLight@AdamBronkhorst Good points but irrelevant when you consider the no motorised vehicles sign at the access point of that road. Many like that driver use it as a cut through
@MartinSLewis @herewego20231 @hmtreasury@TheFCA@bankofengland@GMB Another market that will push to see how far they can go - look at fuel & energy. Chance to make extraordinary profit snatched with both hands. Fuel especially rose like a rocket, failed to drop in line with oil price then slight fluctuation up & prices rose instantly
@AdamBronkhorst They redressed the road outside where I live & speaking to the guys putting the cats eyes in, it doesn't go to the edge so water will get in before the end of this winter. Perfect example of money poorly spent with resultant effect on safety
@AdamBronkhorst Even more reason for the work to be done right first time. It's dangerous for every road user - cycles trying to miss them brings them into danger zone & the effect on vehicles results in damage which can affect their ability to prevent accidentd
@AdamBronkhorst Lazi-itis is a good example of increased unnecessary traffic. Lazy people ordering take away, breakfast etc. Shopping I can understand because 1 vehicle doing multiple drops is better than multiple trips but thrice a week takeout is just pure laziness
@AdamBronkhorst Surface dressing is the biggest problem with potholes. Poorly done any cracks left allow water in which freeze turning cracks into holes. Any civil engineer will tell you roads are built to withstand loaded lorries so RR, X5 and XC90 drivers don't really make much difference.
@KirstieMAllsopp Waiting is only part of the problem. Why do we now have to do most of the solicitors work and still it takes ages. Indemnity policies and extra charges that they don't justify. The housing market is broken & needs a shake up
@ao the tracking part of your app is about as much use as a sunroof on a submarine. Text gives one delivery time, app says different & then changes every time you look. Wasted day so far, thanks
@GMB bankers bonus & removal of cap should be shelved until such time that the banks put the savings interest rate to where it should be. Many still paying out points of percent but borrowing rate rises instantly
@SussexRoadsPol Sunday 17:30 A281 Lower Beeding. Just listened to the fifth motorbike hammering through at speeds massively in excess of 40MPH signed limit. Before somebody is killed it might be an idea to get some presence in the area.
